I just had the same issue today. It was working fine last Sunday, and I'm not sure what I've done in the past week. Interestingly, Photobooth still works so iChat is doing something different with the video.
I ran a verify on QuartzComposer.Framework and found the differences noted below.
This seemed promising since the error that was being thrown was:
Application Specific Information:
Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'Failed creating colorspace for index (9)'
I used Pacifist to reinstall these 6 files and all is well again.

需要下载一个名为pacifist的软件,下文中有下载地址. 然后需要有osx的安装盘.
Pacifist是freeware,不注册可以试用15天. 对需要解决这个问题的我们来说,足够了.
安装完软件后, 把安装盘放到光驱里,启动Pacifist. 启动的时候,因为没注册,会弹出一个类似iGetter的要求注册的带倒计时的界面.等大概15-10秒后,点击 第一个按钮"Not Yet", 就打开软件主界面了.
打开界面后, 点第四个按钮"Open Apple Install Discs". 如果你没放光盘到光驱的话,这个按钮是不能用的.
点完按钮, 软件开始读盘. 在弹出来的界面上,以"QuartzComposer"为关键字进行搜索.
搜索结果显示在界面左侧,找出下面的文件--按照文件的路径一层一层打开就行了. 找到一个,就在文件上点右键,执行"Install to default location". 都安装完了, 你再重新启动下iChat看看.

另外, 你如果还是不能启用视频的话,可以试试下面的方法:
打开iChat,然后打开PhotoBooth, 让iSight处于启用状态,然后打开iChat的设置偏好面板,选择视频那一栏, 将网络***从"无"调整成"500kbps".
