关于 System Builder Bypass Tool 用途的澄清

刚刚下载了 System Builder Bypass Tool, Version 1.0。

在 Read Me 文件里的第一条就是关于软件用途的：

With the introduction of Windows Genuine Advantage, a computer must be validated as genuine prior to receiving security patches from Windows Update. Windows must be activated for the validation tool to run. Microsoft prohibits System Builders from activating on behalf of the end user.
This poses a problem for System Builders, who want to sell systems pre-patched with updates but not enable automatic updates.
This tool will allow system builders to download and install critical updates on new PCs without the requirement to activate or validate.

大概翻译一下：

随着 Windows 正版优势计划的推出， 在从 Windows Update 接受安全补丁之前，计算机必须被验证为合法使用 Windows。而运行验证 Windows 是否合法的工具需要在 Windows 被激活的情况下才可以工作。微软不允许系统制造商代替用户激活系统。

从本工具的描述可以看出，这个工具只是能够跳过微软的正版验证和激活过程就可以下载到更新，并没有说就将系统激活了，Bypass，字面意思也可以理解出来，是“跳过”。
